Chalk Hill Kid friendly Vacations

I’ve stayed at this property a few times prior and had a decent experience, which made this stay particularly disappointing. My room was facing the water with a balcony, expecting to be able to enjoy the view. Unfortunately, the view was almost completely blocked by the rooftop of the stores/building directly in front of the tower, making the balcony much less enjoyable than expected. The bigger issue was the noise and lack of privacy. I had a late night and was woken up by men outside my room yelling and cutting trees. Because they were working on the roof of the building directly in front of my room, they could easily see into my room. I found this extremely uncomfortable, especially since I was not expecting people to be working at that level directly outside my room. Given my previous stays at this property, I expected a much better experience. The obstructed “water view,” unexpected early-morning noise, and privacy concern significantly impacted this stay

Very clean, modern, and spacious. Parking $30/day. Morning coffee $4.50.

Overhyped and overpriced. Rooms are barely a step up from a refurbished Motel 6, terrible sound proofing room to room. Surrounded by screaming kids including the jerks next door who screamed from 4:00 am until 5/30 am. Don't waste your money on this place unless you like lining up for evreything, terse staff and relatively poor customer service given the outlandish rates they charge for a room. The highlight of the whole trip was Summwr who checked us in. Otherwise an entirely forgettable stay that doesn't come close to justifying $1500 a night. I'll keep my money for a Four Seasons or Ritz Carleton next time.

Great location and smooth checkin. Very clean and nice place. No issues. Would absolutely stay here again.
