「This is a charming old-world experience in a well-maintained hotel set in the redwoods beside the Russian River. Rooms are smalll, but clean and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the river, which we enjoyed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The owner is obviously very proud of his establishment and dedicated to making it a good experience for his patrons. The breakfast is ample. The attached restaurant provides a German cuisine.」

「Comfy, clean room booked at the last minute when we decided to adventure to Dillon Beach. The coffee bar was a nice touch and a life saver.」

「The family suite was very underwhelming. There were 2 coffee mugs and 2 glasses and nothing else even though there was a full kitchenette. The furniture was uncomfortable and there was a dank smell that we couldn't get rid of even with the windows open. 「You will enjoy the quiet, hands off feeling of this property. It has a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean and it's a short walk down to the bluff (no direct beach access). We found the bed to be comfortable and the room facilities well done. You really do have to bring your own food or know about the various restaurants in the area. The store across the highway is good for hot breakfast items and coffee-type drinks. All in all, we will definitely be back the next time we're vacationing in...
