We had a confirmed reservation at The Sandman and when we arrived for check-in, we were informed that they no longer had a room for us, as they overbooked. Instead of helping doing what is the norm in that situation, apologize and start working on finding another hotel to move us to, the two clerks at check-in made us and another guest in the same situation, call Expedia instead. When we asked to speak to the hotel Supervisor, the two Sandman Hotel clerks refused to do even that. The Sandman check-in staff was completely unprofessional. Expedia was fantastic and helped find a hotel for us to move to within an hour of the start of the check-in fail. But that should not have been Expedia's job, the Sandman overbooked, then refused to help the customers they negatively impacted. I will never go to The Sandman again and hope Expedia drops them as one of their hotels in their network.
