"Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and had a good check-in experience. The staff were friendly, and we appreciated being upgraded to a better room, which was a nice touch. However, there are a few areas that need improvement. Firstly, there was no internal door lock in the room. On the afternoon of our check-in day, while we were resting in the room, a staff member unexpectedly opened the door to check the air conditioner without any prior notice. This was quite uncomfortable and affected our sense of security, making it difficult to sleep well that night. Greater attention to guest privacy and communication would be appreciated. Secondly, the power outlet layout in the room was inconvenient. Apart from the bathroom, there was only one power socket located under the TV, and none near the bed, which made charging devices at night very inconvenient. We booked a plan that included breakfast, but the actual breakfast was quite different from the photos shown on Hotels.com, which was disappointing. While it was acceptable as part of a breakfast-included package, it would not be good value if charged separately at AUD 35. Overall, the hotel has good potential, but improvements in room safety, layout, and transparency would greatly enhance the guest experience."

"Convenient location. Staff was very nice. We stored our luggage at the concierge after check out but came back a couple of times to repack the stuff. But the staff had no complaints and greeted us every time with smiles. Love their services. "

"I recently stayed at Windsor Hotel, which boasts a rich history of over 150 years, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon our arrival with two large pieces of luggage, we were greeted by a male staff member who promptly walked away to the restroom, showing no interest in assisting us. When we were checking out and walking to the door, the bellboy saw us but chose to walk away to assist other guests with their luggage for a ride in a Mercedes-Benz, leaving us to manage on our own. It’s unclear if he had any advantage in doing so. We ended up putting our luggage back in the car ourselves while navigating several stairs at the entrance. While the female receptionist was helpful, the overall attitude of the staff left much to be desired. The cleanliness of the hotel was also concerning; I found a spider web above the bed, and the windows had clearly gone uncleaned for quite some time. It’s disheartening to see such a historic establishment being let down by its current staff. I hope they can address these issues for future guests. "
