"Helpfullness is fully there. I never once felt confused or intimidated to ask for help. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable. Rooms are always kept clean. I don't eat breakfast so cant contribute much there. The gym is a bit lack luster but might be renovations and you won't be there all day. For a good homebase this is a 10/10. Just be aware that the Chinese culture is very different and that cant be reflected on the hotel. If you are staying short or long term I definitely recommend them."

"We absolutely loved our stay here. Its a beautiful little family run lodge with warm and welcoming hosts. Our room was gorgeous with a stand alone bath overlooking the mountains and remote control curtains for lazy mornings. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted with tea and fresh water melon - such a thoughtful welcome! The home cooked meals with local produce were delicious and the staff arranged transport to and from the airport and national park, making things very easy for us. What made the stay so special though were the people. They made us feel so welcome and looked after. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would happily stay again."

"After a lot of research into the many options we decided on Sulv. So glad we made this choice! The location is great- just a stroll along the riverwalk to the Ancient City but away from the noise and crowds. Reception staff are lovely and our butler Tiantian was so helpful and kind, offering a free shuttle to and from the Ancient City any time we needed amd arranging a complimentary transfer to thw ttain station at the end of our stay. Tiantian escorted us to our rooms and also made herself available on WeChat to assist us should we need anything. The hotel is beautifully appointed in traditional"

"Our stay here was absolutely incredible! The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make our experience special. The cabin they gave us had a spectacular view, and the food was also very good. Everything about our stay was wonderful. We truly enjoyed every moment and would definitely love to come back!"

"The hotel is clean and so as the room. The staff specially crystal helped us a lot and send us airport transfer when we came. She’s very accommodating and nice she deserve a pay rise. The hotel is near the tianmen bus ride just around the corner. There’s also lots of restaurants near the area. Only 10 mins. Away to the airport. The breakfast has lots of choices and nice noodles."

"Stunning Grand Hotel quality for a fraction of 5Star price. Just NOT to look for it on DiDi by name, only by address: Avatar Valley Grand Hotel is actually “ Zhangjiajie Country Garden Phoenix Hotel” We had luck with a friendly DiDi driver that helped us and called their local number to verify location. Breakfast buffet room looks like an Opera House. Swimming Pools are huge. Not crowded at all for the 1400 rooms available. Late August, maybe seeemed maybe 10% occupied. Amazingly helpful Staff with perfect English communication. Great onsite restaurant with traditional local and Western menu options."

"Lucky and Rebee were both very helpful through our stay, recommending places to go and helping us with the best routes round the scene if areas. The hotel came with a driver to shuttle to and from the nearby scenic area which was a great help and made eveything very easy, the view was great and the rooms very comfortable and quite."
