I checked in very late to a room with a queen bed and full size sleeper sofa. Had to go back to get the linens. My son thought the room smelled but I didn't notice it. The hallway smelled horrible-like they had used certain chemical cleaners to try to clean up some kind of mess in the carpet but it didn't quite get it all the way.
The room was very clean but was a mix of new and outdated and worn out furniture/fixtures. New TV, new queen bed, new pictures on the wall, and new toilet. The sleeper sofa looked newish but the mattress was horrible and uncomfortable. The table, chair, coffee table and bedside table were scuffed and worn out. But clean.
I had to request the pots, pans, utensils, plates, and cups from the front desk---this was my first stay at and Extended Stay so I didn't realize the cooking stuff was not kept in the room. There were no cleaning products provided for the mini dishhwasher or the dishes. I ended up just leaving the dishes in the sink although I did wash one set of items with the kitchen cloth and a bar of soap.
On the second night someone who was staying in the room next to mine was able to open my room door with their key card which scared me to death. Additionally, the back door entrance into the hotel that you were supposed to use your keycard for access never worked and so anyone could walk right in.
The bathroom door was coming apart and two of the lamps didn't work but I did tell the front desk and they made a note.
