「The rooms were modern and clean, the view was excellent, and it was close to the beach and town. Secure parking, lovely staff, good breakfast. Some of the details in the room needed finessing, e.g air conditioning was not connected, had to search for the right switches to make the light and fan work, etc. But overall recommended! 」

「A very old and worn-out building. Musty smell. Wobbly floorboards. No air-con. I was hassled twice to move my motorcycle to an inadequate parking place, even though I had booked an apartment with parking. The receptionist behaved a bit oddly, putting pressure on me to but her a drink, which was uncomfortable. I booked two days, but left after one. In quite a good location to walk along the sea front. Swakopmund is a nice town.」

「This is a great budget-friendly place to stay. It’s conveniently located near many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. As a female traveller, I felt safe. The only downside is the thin walls, which let you hear guests in other rooms and even outside your balcony. Overall, I enjoyed the breakfast and the friendly, helpful staff. 」

「What an amazing place and the mgt. was so kind and considerate. I went back twice on my return and was in a bind as I was driving late at night. The mgt. helped organize a room through security since they were not on site due to my timing. So helpful and when mingling with guests there was only a positive vibe (both times).」

「I have paid for the hostel but didn't realize that they don't have reception or anyone working after 8pm. I rang the door bell and called multiple times when I arrived but nobody answered. I couldn't check in and had to book another place last minute. I asked if I could get a credit for the night but they still charged me and wouldn't refund me for the booking and said it was my fault because I didn't notify them that I'll arrive after 8pm.
