Very basic old-school motel. Traintracks nearby might bother light sleepers. Staff hours are 9am to 10 pm so get your questions asked between those hours, and don't accidently lock yourself out of your room. Needs some upgrading and repairs. Otherwise clean and everything worked.

I chose this location because I was attending an event nearby. On check-in, I felt as if I was inconveniencing the person at the desk as she seemed to be distracted with something more important in the room behind the office. I think my reservation for a 2 bedroom "cabin" was a misnomer. It was not a cabin. I took the bunk bed room. That was it- just beds, no table to put anything. It did have a mini fridge but no microwave as stated in the promo. Our room was clean and we did not use the pool. Restaurants nearby were very good.

Clean rooms, microwave and refrigerator in room, traditional Maine roadside motel, enjoyed the nostalgia of the stay. Locally owned and operated with owner and family on site. Appreciated the trees and lawn, close to the Rachel Carson preserve and The Maine Diner.

It's an older motel. The bed was a little hard but some people like that. Cute little porch with table which was very nice. The table wasn't very clean on the porch. I like to sleep where it's dark and didn't have curtains to shut out the light. The biggest problem is the train which isn't the motels fault but the motel is near a train crossing a road so the train whistle blew every 2 hours all night long.

The room, especially the bathroom, was very clean. The shower was hot, and there were plenty of towels. The bed was so firm I couldn’t sleep. I stayed on a Monday night, and the nearby Amtrak train came through three times during the night, blowing its whistle each time. Check-in was friendly. I didn’t use the large pool, but it looked well maintained. I don’t usually stay at motels like this and thought I’d be a little adventurous. This place wasn’t my cup of tea, but it would probably work well for someone looking for a convenient overnight stop on a Route 1 trip.
