「The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. We happily stay here again. 」

「A lovely find hidden away off the main street. We only booked the room an hour before arriving but were made to feel very welcome by the young lady behind the bar. Breakfast was cooked by Phil and was delicious and he came out and had a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend. 」

「Looked ok in reception but that’s as good as it got , very out dated and not a great deal worked in the room . Very nearly boiled the kettle for a coffee in the morning before looking in it . Never seen anything like that before . When reeling off the stuff wrong with the room the staff were not bothered at all . Was charged £130 for the night and wouldn’t have paid £30 if I had a choice .」

「A modern bathroom in a 14th century hotel was definitely not expected. WiFi worked in the room. The staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast provided a good selection and the cooked items were really good. Sunday lunch was close to home made with plenty of different vegetables. Will definitely return!」
