SpringHill Suites Savannah Downtown / Historic District

8/10 Good

"Great location! It was so easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Our room was perfect with the sleep sofa and pull out trundle which allowed my mom and son to have their own beds. The breakfast made mornings really easy and fast. Check-in was a little rough but after that everything was great. Also top marks to valet! They were quick and really nice. We had a spill on the way and the car was a little musty, they even took the time to spray some air freshener for us!"

"The staff was EXCELLENT very friendly, very helpful. The hallway and elevators smelled strongly of mildew. It gave me a cough and detracted from my experience. The food was mostly deep fried and not to my liking. My room was clean. The main areas were clean. Housekeeping was good. The main desk staff was attentive and helpful. Again the staff was GREAT!!"

"Clean, comfy room walking distance from everything we wanted to do. Staff was very sweet. I was confused by the listing on here saying, "Free buffet breakfast on weekend mornings"--we were only here M-F, and there was a nice free breakfast every day."

"I arrived at the property late Friday evening and was disappointed to find that the entire bedroom area of my room had no working lights. Maintenance was responsive and did their best to help, but because the hotel was fully booked, I couldn't be moved to another room. They ended up running long extension cords so I could plug in my CPAP machine overnight. The room itself was not very clean, and the furniture appeared overdue for a deep cleaning and general upkeep. While the staff and assistant manager were friendly, professional, and genuinely tried to resolve the issues, the property as a whole seems to be in need of significant maintenance and renovation. Another consideration is parking. Valet parking is $48 per night, and if you choose not to valet, you're left trying to navigate limited downtown street parking with various restrictions and time limits. Unfortunately, despite the excellent efforts of the staff, the condition of the property did not meet expectations, and I would not choose to stay here again."

"Over all the property is deserving of a rating of maybe 4/5. The room and bathroom were clean, staff was very helpful and the room service ordered meals were promptly delivered in take out plastic bags however the expectation of the hotel was somewhat disappointing. The pool was disgusting!"
