Great location, clean rooms

Best travelodge I’ve stayed at. Great central location, nice up kept rooms. A little confusing on the office location but great overall stay for what I needed.

Overall the room was clean, quiet and everything worked, we had appointments in downtown Washington DC and the location for this hotel was good, easy route and traffic was not bad. The price and location was very good for our purpose.

I stayed at Travelodge by Wyndham Silver Spring from July 14–17, 2025 on a prepaid, non-refundable reservation through Expedia. The room (421) had large roaches, which made the environment unsanitary and uncomfortable. Although I didn’t report the issue earlier, I informed the hotel at the moment I checked out a night early, on July 17. The staff later agreed to refund the unused final night through Expedia, which I appreciate. That said, this was not the experience I expected from a Wyndham-branded hotel. The property needs serious improvements in cleanliness and maintenance.

Wait till they finish their renovation

The hotel is under renovations so hopefully it will be better. It looks very dated from the outside.The bathrooms are tiny, and the door didn't close right. The beds are very hard. There were little gnats in the room- not a lot, just a couple but annoying. The people were very nice, and tried their best to help us.

The rooms are extremely dirty, the toilet was broken, couldn’t flush, the carpet was very wet, the room smell bad, worst hotel room ever stayed in. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Staff was ok.

I found 2 live cockroaches in my room. Bathroom fan isn't working. Bathroom ceiling pain is cracked and is falling in the tub. Checking in and out was easy.

I don't recommend anyone to stay there, especially if you don't smoke or you're just a girl. I booked a non-smoking room and got a room that smelled of marijuana. After my complaint, they changed the room, but that one was even worse, and the hallway smelled of urine.. (sorry). I didn't feel safe there (and I'm a strong middle-aged man). There is one plus, I realized that you shouldn't save on a hotel 😁

There was warm water throughout, the toilet was good abd clean that using allowing someone to use little water efficiently, the room was big but not attractive the AC was not working, no refrigerator in the room, no microwave in the room, the microwave was one located in shared at the lobby but also was not working!!! The reception was smelling badly!!! Like the sewages or airhole left unattended throughout, the ladies at the lobby was protecting themselves with the masks throughout due to bad smell at he reception, although the toilets were clean.....there is no breakfast close to hotel you should walk around 10 to 15 minutes to find restaurants, there is no transport around, and metro station is located around 15 to 20minutesvwalk, so with bags becomes more challenging, i won't advise anyone to stay in this hotel unless major renovation is done, not worth it, and not healthy, not inspired at all.

Staff was courteous. Room was clean. No bedside tables, no pictures on the wall. No coffeemaker. TV did not work. The only outlets that worked were the ones in the bathroom. No heavy blanket. The room was cold even though the thermostat was turned on high.

The room had the smell of smoke in the room and incense and cigarette burns all over the room. The bathroom was in terrible shape. I had to keep my shoes on in the bathroom and in the bathtub because it was in terrible shape. I left last night I didn’t even stay the whole night.
