This is a case where I was looking to save money, so I have no regrets whatsoever about staying at Sleep Inn Rockville. The staff was friendly and it was a short Uber ride to Rockville Square. Those looking for a more luxury experience will be dissatisfied, though, as the mattresses are just "okay" and the room design (at least for the single Queen room I stayed in) is not very functional.
All the light fixtures and their switches are across the room from the bed, so there was no way to leave a light on until you got in bed and then turn it off. I think this may be the first time in at least 20 years that I have stayed in a hotel room at any price that didn't have a bedside lamp! It did have a bedside table with easy electric plug & USB access, though, so you can still easily plug in your CPAP, charge your phone, etc. by the bed.
The toiletries are scented, so if you are sensitive to scented products remember to bring your own.
Again, this property was less expensive than most others in the area by around $50 a night IIRC, so it was the right choice for me. It is truly about budget and expectations.
