"A wonderful hotel near the heart of Victoria. Easy walking distance to all the amenities while being in a quiet and peaceful location. I can't recommend it highly enough."

"The room was clean, service was good. But, there's no ac, so in the mornings and early afternoon the sun BAKES the room. So you open the two tiny louvre windows ( 3 inch opening) and the door. There is no way to develop a cross breeze, so it stays hot. The windows have to be open at night, so we heard every car, person walking and everything else. It's not restful. I get skipping AC in the name of sustainability, but it wasn't successful. It's possible that a different location would have been better. Breakfast was great, but the weird jungle music that repeats for 10 or so minutes was not enjoyable."

"Great location. One block to China Town, a couple of blocks to waterfront. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Parking was pretty easy. You can pay the $25 for the parking structure or you can park your car on the street. It’s free from 8pm to 8am. We paid for parking an hour and a half before ($6) and in the morning after 8am if we needed extra time before starting our day. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful."

Sandman Hotel Victoria

"We had a newly redecorated room with a sitting area with sofa, easy chair, coffee table and TV. Next was a lovely kitchenette with a cooktop, micro, fridge, kettle, fridge, toaster, pots and pans and dishes and cutlery! Next was the bedroom with comfy king bed, side tables chest of draws and another TV. Everything was in great shape. They still need to renovate the elevators and hallway carpets."
