The vibe was groovy. We loved Grandma’s basement. The pool and sauna were fab. We were sad the hot tub was closed for maintenance but everything else was fantastic! Highly recommend.

Pros:The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and funky. It was well appointed with fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee press It’s right across from the Wayfair Mall Cons: The room is so small!! There is no actual bathroom, the toilet is behind a door and then the shower is beside the fridge It was very noisy, not sound proof at all I would definitely not want to stay more than one night

We had such an excellent stay! The staff were super helpful (thanks Jessica on the front desk!). Two things stood out....first, we asked if there was a spot to keep a freezer pack frozen, and it was no bother at all, it was stored in the staff freezer. Second, we asked if it was possible to do a late check out and they was accommodated no problem at all. The room was lovely. Very clean, spacious, good vibes. Check in process was smooth. We had complimentary coffee with non-dairy milk optio a for the French press in the room. And we had our dog with us, and it was a great process to have her needs met. We didn't check out the pool because it was closed for maintenance while we were there. Extra bonus was having The Ruby on site for brunch. We had planned to meet friends for brunch there and had no idea that it was actually at the hotel! Wins all round. Thanks for a great stay Hotel Zed...and thanks for being a really wonderful pet friendly option. We'll be back!

Fun place to stay and enjoyed the decor. The French press for coffee was great and thanks for providing real cream! And loved the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. All at a very low cost. I’ll be back!

No complaints at all about the hotel, room was very clean, love all the added touches throughout to make it so fun, appreciated all of the details to make it a super pet friendly hotel. Amenities were great although we didn’t get to use them and suggest they extend the hours slightly to make them a bit more accessible. The noise level inside the rooms if pretty high, I suggest bringing ear plugs as the noise from slamming of doors and the motel style walkway can get loud at night and the kfc was surprisingly noisy all hours of the night with delivery trucks beeping and picking up garbage, especially if your room is facing the parking lot, like 3-5am! Very family friendly so there will be loud kids running around outside your windows, only real downside of the older hotel.

Loved our stay here. Sweet suite had enough space for a family, and we all enjoyed the 70s vibe so much! We enjoyed teaching the kids to play pool down in Grandmas Basement. We didn’t have time to enjoy the pool, but it looked great. Will definitely stay again!
