The bed was comfortable, the place was quiet and everything worked great. It was excellent value for the price; much more affordable than other options. "Really nice place. Friendly staff! Kumily is great for exploring Periyar. The hotel is 10-15 min walk from the entry point into Periyar national park. Clean and spacious room. No hot water in the shower head. However, there was a tap with hot water in knee-height and a plastic bucket. So it was possible to get a hot shower using that. "

Two issued I had was there was another group that was playing loud music near us and it was bothering us as we were trying to put the kids to sleep. We also had a issues where the staff was suppose to deliver a case of water we brought and they delivered it to the wrong room. They replaced it with a case but just two small issues. Overall good experience and would stay again if going through the area. "

"What a place! Just an amazing stay, thanks to brilliant staff and a super-chilled environment. The bungalows are so cute and comfortable. The grounds are so green a lush. The Tiger Team organised a great daytime and nighttime walk in the forest. We saw plenty of animals and loads of birds. Food in the main restaurant is very good. Also the cooking with spices demos are insightful. The small food place net to the bar was a bit disapointing. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Spice Village enough. A true haven of tranquility."
