"Good location to visit the KC Zoo and Starlight Theater. Our room and the hotel in general looks a bit in rough shape. Could use an update. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Made up for some of the physical issues with the building."

"We were given a room that hadn’t been cleaned. Waited in the lobby for 20 minutes before being told it was ready. The refrigerator was still full of food from previous people staying there. Clock on night stand hadn’t been changed since the time change. No coffee at the breakfast bar. Informed the desk since that was the only staff available. She was too busy looking at her phone to call for help. No orange juice. No one willing to get any either. Will find other accommodations on our next visit."

"Hotel was not a $222/night hotel. Barely worth $100. Convenient to event. However, toilet seat wouldn’t stay connected on the toilet, the fill valve on toilet failed continuously without manual intervention, and could not maintain water temp in shower. TV connection constantly failed and had to be reset. For all this wonderful lodging, they charged an additional $100 to my card for a damage deposit. Hotel is old and has not been updated. Front desk staff very unhelpful. Many other guests unhappy."

"Had a bit of an issue with finding the hotel. They haven't changed the hotel name sign on front of the property. Lots of construction, maybe my stay would have been better if the renovation had been completed prior to my stay."

"There was a large sticky spot in the carpet and a leak in the ceiling in the shower. I reported the problems and they said maintenance would look into it. With 2 issues in the room, I was disappointed they didn’t move us to a different room or at least comp the room. "

"The room was not as clean as I was expecting considering how nice the lobby and pics were. For the price I am more than disappointed in the cleanliness of the whole establishment. The pool was dirty with leaves and bugs."
