「The FMI enjoys a very convenient location in the French quarter at a generally affordable price. The architecture style is french with big windows and lovely courtyard quiet in a short distance away from the hustling streets outside. The manager and frontdesk people are all very nice dealing with unexpected situation in a very prompt manner. There is cable TV in the room. The AC works very well. The window view is pleasant.」

However, upon checking into this hotel, the rooms were extremely old, the lighting was uncomfortable, giving the feeling of being in an operating room. The photos looked great, but the reality was vastly different, with worn-out sofas. Very disappointed. This hotel doesn't even come close to a 4-star standard, and staying here was very unpleasant. 「Overall, I enjoyed staying here. The property had good character and our room was nice. I would note, however, that while we booked a room with a queen sized bed, the bed we got was definitely only a full. It was also quite loud at night—we ended up sleeping on the sofa bed because it was further away from the windows (and the mattress was the same size as the bed anyway). Our room was also never cleaned during the 5 nights we were there, despite asking for a refresh on the towels. Still, the...
