「This was a neat place to stay. I wish I would’ve had more time to play golf. Our room was ok. There were a ton of ants and gecko’s in our room which is to be expected building anything in a warm climate. The only complaint, which was not the fault of the resort was the power went out and our room became absolutely stifling. There were no cross windows to open and no fan on a back up power source or even a battery fan in case of emergency which would’ve helped considerably. Overall our stay was...

「This is such a beautiful property that really immerses you in the nature of San Ignacio. Rose cooked fresh breakfast everyday that was absolutely delicious, and her and her husband were super kind. I also rented a car from Rod, who was also super nice, so I had such a smooth experience getting from place to place. 「The hotel and property were not as advertised. There is no air conditioning on site in any building used by guests. We were forced to seek other lodgings after a termite swarm invaded both rooms, the pool, dining area and reception. We paid for two rooms for two nights, and yet were given no partial refund despite our being on site for less than two hours. I do not recommend this hotel, ever.」

「The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was great. The property's jungle setting and landscaping made me feel like I was in a jungle. And while not a nightly occurrence, having howler monkeys howling the first evening really set the tone to remind me I wasn't in California. A special callout to the staff at Fiona's restaurant, the food was great, but talking with the staff there was super fun. I would recommend Maya Mountain Lodge to anyone and everyone.」

「The property and House was clean and cool with AC! The staff was so much fun and thoughtful! We learned so much from Alfred and Dwight throughout our stay! We also did the big zip lines, repelling, and tight rope which was fun and beautiful! There is lots to do around the resort and it’s close to so many beautiful sights!」

「Clean, quiet, and inexpensive option convenient to everything in San Ignacio. The manager, Hugo, was on site and very helpful during our stay. The kitchen area was well stocked with dishes and utensils and was nice to have available. AC worked well in the rooms and it was a relief to have the option to cool off at the end of each day. We’d happily stay there again.」
