Beautiful property; warm, helpful staff; 10 minute walk to town (big hill). Outstanding location from which to visit Mayan ruins in the area, and access restaurants in town. Lovely pool, good restaurant, great birds and iguanas on site!
Master suite room was perfect. Great view. Hotel location is perfect walking distance to the town for restaurants, etc. The wait staff in the restaurants were really nice. We also did a few excursions organized through the hotel and the guides were all excellent. I would highly recommend.
The resort was really nice, staff were wonderful. We loved the green iguana conservation project!
Location was close, and walkable to town. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.
The property itself is really nice, and a bargain for the price. It is quiet and lovely with a wonderful staff. The beach is nice and they work hard to keep it clean.
It waa great, especially for the price for 3 people. We had 2 queens & a sofa bed & everything was very comfortable & clean. We lovec the pool & the restaurant was nice too. The staff was very nice & gave us a lil tour & brought our bags to our room. The only negative thing for some people is no elevator. Still, highly recommend!!
The Resort was lovely. Jungle atmosphere, variety or birds and monkeys in the trees around the property. Fantastic room, staff friendly and helpful with events, restaurant delicious and pool serene. Great bar.
We loved the San Ignacio Resort Hotel. It was truly as they said – like staying in a jungle right in the city. Everything was extremely clean, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the room was very comfortable. We had several meals at the hotel which were very good and the restaurant was relaxing.
Excellent staff, pool and restaurant. The Iguana Project and Tikal day trip were fantastic. There are lots of spaces at the hotel to sit and relax. Great start to our vacation!
I and my husband stayed for 3 nights at the hotel and we loved it! Our room was comfortable and the garden view is beautiful. The staff is very friendly. We loved the iguana project.
Pictures really don't do the hotel justice for the queen + double bed room. Very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to bars and restaurants. San Ignacio is hilly, so keep that in mind for your walking, but great exercise.
- Staff was great
- Close (driving) to multiple cultural and natural sight seeing/experiences
- Easy parking on site
Very helpful staff. Great old school attitude. Perfect location for all the Cayo activities. Easy walk to the main drag without all the noise. Restaurant food and service was great. Bird watching in their preserve was fun and Jason is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
We stayed at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel for two nights and had such a great experience! Not only is the property beautiful (swimming pool, patios, tennis court & walking trails) but the room was so clean and well-appointed. We slept so well every night! The restaurant was fantastic - we usually like to go to local places but the food was so good that we ate breakfast both days and dinner one evening there. Beyond everything else, the staff was so kind and courteous. Special shout outs to Ozzie who helped us prepare for our ATM Cave tour and Elito who was a pleasure to chat with in the restaurant. We would highly recommend this property!
My sister and I loved our stay here! The restaurant is great, the staff is so helpful getting excursions booked, and the iguana project is wonderful. The photos do not do this place justice. Sitting by the pool as the sun began to go down and all the lights were on was simply beautiful! The hotel is on a big hill, so while I did do a lot of walking because town is very close - that may not be for everyone!
You won't find friendlier, most personalized hospitality anywhere. The staff were all smiles and seemed genuinely happy to be of service. John in particular was very helpful as concierge and booked shuttles for us to other destinations. The guides for activities arranged through the resort were top notch.
Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, the pool was nice (and quiet), and the dining was excellent. The Green Iguana project is worth visiting whether you stay at the resort or not.
Highly recommended for your jungle adventure portion of your Belize trip!
This was a fantastic surprise for us. We had never been to San Ignacio and booked the hotel hoping the reviews were accurate. We were not disappointed. The property is stunning and elegant. We stayed in a beautiful King room overlooking the jungle and enjoyed our morning coffee in the British tea cups that were elegantly provided.
The art in the hotel holds vibrant depictions of the jungle animals, flora, and fauna. I felt as though in an art gallery. The food was excellent, the service, friendly and attentive. The pool has a lovely water fall that heightened the relaxation while I read my book in the sunshine. We tend to be picky travellers and my husband and I were delighted with our stay!
