"I am a New Haven-area native and was visiting from DC with my boyfriend for a wedding. We choose this hotel as a "treat-yo-self." It definitely didn't disappoint! The room was gorgeous (and quiet) and the location was perfect. I took him to Bar for pizza and Geronimo's for tequila and loved that they were around the corner. My only complaint was one of the elevators was broken so it took a long time. The two bars onsite were also wonderful!"
"With Super 8, which is a respected chain, I expect a basic level of cleanliness and amenities. This one delivers on some of them, but here are my complaints: (i) there was not a single cup (plastic or otherwise) in the room, that I could use to brush my teeth or drink anything!; (ii) most of the room was clean, but the carpets were filthy and especially the hallway carpets were disgusting; (iii) the beds had a sheet and a thin bedspread that delivered no warmth - with no extra blankets in the room. And for this I paid $196 for one night (including tax)! Not good value."
