「My first visit to Silverton and I'm so glad I chose to stay at The Avon! Loved the charm of this place, very fitting to the full experience of a mountain town at high elevation. The whole establishment was kept very clean, bathrooms are clean and stuffed with clean towels and toiletries, the kitchen/bar/living room area is very roomy. 「Great place to stay, certain rooms have no bathroom and have to share a space down the hall. I was surprised by this but I should have read the description better! It is a beautiful historic property with great beds and lots of peace.」

「Staff was super friendly. Loved the free coffee and tea in the morning, Parking in and around the area was fine. The only downfall was the temp in the room. They have a swamp cooler, which is probably pretty normal for Silverton’s accommodations. I’m sure not very many buildings are air-conditioned in this town but was a little warm at night. It did cool off but took a smidge of time. Delightful place.」

I had to take away stars because the primary reasons I booked at this location was that the property information listed breakfast being included and laundry facilities as a convenience. The owner said they haven't provided breakfast in quite a long time and the laundry facility was a laundromat across the street.」

The shower was good water pressure and heat, but the floor outside it had signs of water damage (squishy floorboards). Toilet seat was barely attached to toilet.
