「Lanelay Hall is a beautiful hotel. The decor, the ambience and the attention to detail is exceptional. The staff in all areas are warm and welcoming. The restaurant was a fabulous experience with very impressive food. We also had some of the best cocktails we have ever had with the mixologist taking time to explain the ones on offer. 「The location is impeccable but being in the city centre it can be quite noisy at night because of all the bars & clubs downstairs. The triple room is on the 4th floor so noise wise it's tolerable for just one night but be prepared to lift your luggages up the 100-step stairs. The room is better than expected, really clean & tidy. One down side is this hotel doesn't have its own reception so have to check in at the hotel across the road instead.」

「Perfect location, looking directly across the Taff at the stadium. Only 10 minute walk to Mary Street. Very clean and the keybox entry makes checking in/out a breeze. Shared bathrooms between floors are immaculately clean also. 」

「Newly refurbished rooms were really nice, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel is also a bar/pub/restaurant. We ate at the restaurant and the food was decent. There was entertainment in the evening which was loud and we were concerned that it might disturb our sleep, but once back in the room, we couldn’t hear it. There is unrestricted public parking opposite the hotel.」

「Had an excellent stay at the Pontcanna Inn! I had a last-minute trip to Cardiff come up and was very happy to find such a lovely place on short notice. The room was, clean, cozy, and very comfortable. Despite being above a pub and close to the street, the room was very quiet. I could hardly hear any noise from the pub or the street during my time there. Would definitely recommend the Pontcanna Inn for anyone looking for a stay in Cardiff.」
