「Myself and my partner were really impressed by the beautiful decor at Lanelay Hall the hotel and our room was very spacious - the biggest room I’ve ever had whilst staying at a hotel. 「There were things I liked and didn’t like about this stay. The staff were really friendly, the drinks at the bar were cheap, the locals were really friendly and very social. The breakfast was good the next day and in hindsight, we should have had dinner here as it all looked home made and reasonably priced. The negatives were that the place itself is so rundown, I don’t know how it survives as we didn’t see any other guests. The whole place needs a makeover, including the outside area. The room...

「Warm welcome and friendly staff, however quite a modest property even for a BnB and at this price point. Small room with very small shower. Fine breakfast but only instant freeze dried coffee, and few options if you don't want a fry up. Immediate area full of litter on streets (like most of Barry). I know this isn't their fault but it's a location point. Overall a fine place to stay but I'm surprised current reviews are quite so high -- afterall, a warm and friendly welcome should be expected...
