The Swans Nest Hotel

"We booked a two night stay at the Swan's Nest. It is obvious the hotel is going through a refurb, as there were workmen outside working on the various entrances. So the ground floor was a little dusty from the work, but easily forgiveable as the hotel is obviously refreshing itself. The reception/lobby area obviously has received the benefit and looks fabulous. And the Bistrot was equally visually lovely. Staff were very helpful, making suggestions of where to go, and were very discreet during our check-in. The room, itself, was perfectly good, comfortable and the bathroom facilities were good as well. Didn't a hear a sound outside the door or the window, which contributed greatly towards a good night's rest. Overall, no complaints and would stay again whenever back up in Warwickshire."

"This was a great little place. Super clean. Comfortable beds and great set up for a triple room. Lots of space. Large shower. Excellent breakfast. Lucy, the hostess, was absolutely lovely. Close walking distance to restaurants and sights. Loved it!"

"Beautiful Hotel, right in the middle of Stratford Upon Avon. Breakfast was beautiful and staff were very helpful. Opposite RSC and River Avon, Parking was £10 for weekend stay. Excellent value."

"This hotel was booked at the last minute and what a good gind it was. Parking on site. Friendly staff to welcome you at reception. Great breakfast. Easy walk into the town center. The room was clean and tidy, with sufficient tea and coffee. I have only given it 4 out of 5 rather than 5 for the following reasons. No bedside/reading lights, and also no ability to turn the main lights out from your bed. It may have been just our room, but there shower was rather lacking a bit of pressure. Despite all of this, if I was visiting Stratford-upon-Avon again I would consider booking this hotel again"

"When booking it mentioned that limited parking was available however there was sufficient parking for all guests (apparently this generally only becomes an issue in peak season when guests bring multiple vehicles). The location was great, only 15-20 minutes walk to the centre of Stratford with a few pubs & restaurants even closer. Martin & Maria are lovely hosts and the room and communal areas were all very clean, modern & well finished. An excellent and comprehensive choice of breakfasts are provided. The rear decked balcony area and garden provide a lovely area for relaxation. Despite my room fronting a relatively road it was surprisingly quiet."

"My expectations were far exceeded with this style. Myself and my two children had a river view family room which was a great size and had a lovely view. The breakfast was better than average for a very responsible price and kids ate free! The location is exceptional and had parking. We could walk to Shakespeare's birthplace in 5 mins or less. Would absolutely stay here again."

"The Queen's Head is small, comfortable, good value, and convenient to local sights, but it's fairly basic inn-style accommodation above a lively pub. Staff are friendly and helpful, but they are mostly pub staff. The bar across the street is noisy in the evenings (some wonderfully bad karaoke), which some guests may find disruptive. Its main virtue is that it is cheap, clean and convenient."
