Simple, Clean, and Welcoming

I stayed at this motor lodge for 2.5 weeks while my bathroom was being renovated, and it was a really comfortable and convenient place to stay. The room was simple but had everything I needed, and the shared bathrooms were always clean and well-kept. What stood out most was the friendly and welcoming staff—they made the stay much easier and more pleasant. Really appreciated the hospitality!

It's a great, affordable place to crash that has a bit of an old school backpacker vibe to it (i.e. shared bathrooms, kitchens, etc) but it's still quite a good place to stay. Looking forward to coming back!

There was no aircon, pedestal fan only, and it was really hot. Ensuite was tiny. Staff were amazing. Location is awesome, just meters from the Ferry wharf, good coffee and small beach area.

Location! Location! Location! A very short walk from Neutral Bay Wharf to Neutral Bay Lodge. Perfect spot to stay & very convenient to jump on a bus from the wharf to Neutral Bay Junction for dining & shopping. Would highly recommend.

Position Position Position

I was in a downstairs bedroom. Which although the building was old was very clean. There was some noise from people upstairs as it is a multi-story building, however overall the experience was good. It is perfectly placed. There is free street parking (if you are good at parallel parking) and the 12 minute ferry to Circular Quay is only a 3 minute walk.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, good facilities in the room. Close to Neutral Bay shops, Kirribilli, Milsons Point, easy to walk to shops, trains, ferries. Bit noisy as the property is on the corner of two roads, and my room was right at the front of the building. Room could do with a freshen up, carpet was worn / torn in a few places. Otherwise a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

It’s a great old heritage house. Amazing location! We walked about 2 mins down hill to the ferry terminal. With a bit of tlc the inside would be amazing- could do with new carpet and paint etc. Bathroom is newish. no air con, the fitted sheet didn’t reach to the end of the king bed- I don’t think it was a king sheet. They didn’t refresh the coffee cups or give new coffee sachets or milk sachets for our 2nd night. But overall, we loved it

Check out the neighbourhood

The rooms were as expected, adequate and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and functional. Location was very pleasant, make sure you checkout your surrounds. There were only 2 negatives, parking, 6 spots is reasonable but it requires other guests to park well, during our stay one of the guests did not leave room to access the park, maybe lines are required.. 2nd issue was that on arrival the rooms stunk, this was fixed by opening the windows and airing out.

Very clean room, amentities, bathroom and kitchen. Geat location - take the shortcut through the waterfront park to walk to Kirribilli, or straight down the hill to the ferry. We found the walk uphill to the buses on Neurtral Bay hard work!
