"Breakfast Buffet was limited. Some of the Items not fresh. The plates and cups are not properly washed. Rooms are extremely dated. Not super clean. No fridge, no bottled water offered. Room door did not latxh properly."

"The location of this hotel has a stunning view from certain parts of the property. The location next to La Chimba is ideal. It is very green and natural and there is a lot of wildlife you can hear and see. To improve the stay, I would recommend putting fans in the room or an air conditioner. That would help eliminate the stuffiness that we felt in the evening. The beds were comfortable and the space was large. The coffee for the in room coffee maker was delicious. I would also recommend that the breakfast hours be extended. We had an appointment earlier in the day downtown and are early risers. Starting at eight is quite late for many people when the sun comes up around 5:30. We therefore did not partake in the breakfast."

"The Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belén is the place to be if you need to stay in San José for one or two days. First of all, the building itself is stunning, and the surrounding gardens are beautifully maintained. It feels like a peaceful oasis and offers a striking contrast to the rest of San José, while still being conveniently close to the airport. The rooms are slightly noisy, but the staff more than make up for it—they are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and service-oriented. The gym is excellent. We were hoping to play pickleball, but unfortunately there was no net available. The swimming pools are a very welcome addition and add to the relaxed, resort-like atmosphere. For lunch and dinner, the restaurants La Castilla, La Isabela, and Bar 10 are all highly recommended. For breakfast, I would skip the relatively expensive buffet and instead go to Casa del Café, where you can enjoy a delicious à la carte breakfast along with excellent coffee and pastries. In terms of price, it was comparable to an airport hotel, but the experience felt much more like a mini vacation."
