Best Western Pine Springs Inn

"Cute property with resort feel. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Furnishings could be updated but it was clean and comfortable."

White's City Cavern Inn

"We stayed at Whites City Cavern Inn May 31 - June 2. We had 3 rooms and all were clean with comfortable beds. The rooms were large and although simply furnished it was nice and welcoming. One room had tile flooring and 2 had carpet. We much preferred the tile. The pool and splash pad areas were great. Plenty of seating and play area, very clean. The area was cleaned and maintained by staff each morning we were there. We were disappointed the slide wasn't running but kids played games on nice size grassy area. The motel had made us aware of limited food choices so we ate in Carlsbad prior to arrival and came prepared. The nearby Cafe was only open 1 day of our stay and we were disappointed in the breakfast selection. The food was ok. The grocery/gift shops across the street had limited selections but were clean and had fun interesting decor. All in all we enjoyed our stay. The 5 adults approved of this motel and that's saying something because we were prepared to go into Carlsbad if it was too run down or unclean. We had 7 kids ranging from 7 to 16. They all had fun and said they would go back. We loved Sitting Bull Falls and really enjoyed going through Carlsbad Caverns."

The Lodge at Cloudcroft

"Our room was honestly terrible. Thank goodness we'd only booked 2 nights. The counter the coffee maker was on was visibly dusty and one of the mugs had liquids in it still. The sheets and duvet had visible brown and yellow stains. The blankets were pilling. My son's bed had hair on the pillow. He immediately wanted to leave but we got lysol and lysoled it all and were just very careful. The bathroom shower handle to turn on the water was loose and hard to adjust. The wainscoting on a corner of the room was so sharp. My husband hit it the first night in the dark and was bleeding. That needs to be sanded down. We ate at the bar night one and had reservations at the nicer restaurant for the following evening. We all got sick from our food from the bar so canceled our next dining reservation since they share a kitchen. The carpets throughout the property need replaced. The golf course landscaping needed work. I have been coming here for 40 years but it'd been 8 since our last visit and the whole place is just not at all what it used to be. Taking away Rebecca's and removing her from the lobby was a huge mistake. The whole place just feels like an old falling apart gentleman's club now. It's very sad."

"Not sure why this property has been rated as well as it has. Compared to most current hotels this place is a borderline dump that needs serious upgrades and repairs: tiles peeling away from the wall in the bathroom, seriously corroded bath and sink fixtures, slow sink drain, drab and beaten up exterior. The breakfast was minimal, parking was ok, no clock or phone in the room. The bench seats in the breakfast room were beaten up and sagging"

Comfort Suites Roswell North

6/10 Okay

"They have been updating the facility, but the housekeeping was not up to par. Our tub had a used washcloth in it. Eco friendly shampoo, etc in the bathroom except for bar soap at the sink. The corners of the room were filthy. Needs a good deep clean!!! Let the staff know, so they are aware."
