This is the only game in town and the hotel nearest to the entrance of the Carlsbad Caverns National Park. It is a good hotel experience. It is a traditional two-story park at your door motel. Rooms were about $100 a night. The breakfast was disappointing just cereal and packaged muffins. Whites City has limited offerings with just one restaurant with limited hours. You could stay in Carlsbad about 30 miles from the park and have many more options.

The room was spatious and spotlessly clean. We were on the second floor and it was very quiet. Great location near the caverns. Super friendly staff member greeted my late arrival with the most pleasant conversation. Thank you! We would stay there again!

Clean, neat, no odors, microwave, coffee, fridge with top freezer. Fridge was a nice surprise, made re freezing my ice packs much easier. Some wear and tear, but all in all a good value. Close to GNP and of course CC.

The property is older but to my delight, the large room was newly renovated and bright and spotless. There was a king size bed, 2 tables with chairs, a small refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker and large TV. The bathroom had a large tiled walk in shower with a shower chair. There was complimentary muffins and cereal and coffee every morning at the office. The office is small but there is a table and chairs for 6 to eat at. We saw 2 front desk ladies during our stay and both of them were friendly, attentive and helpful. If we find ourselves in the area again we will stay at White’s City Cavern Inn.

There was not a shower curtain in the shower-I had to go ask for one. It just didn't feel clean throughout. No attention to corners, etc. There were no plugs in the drains, which was weird-keep an eye on what might fall in! The check-in person was friendly enough, but very slow. The breakfast isn't a breakfast, and there is nowhere to eat the prepackaged muffin...if you wanted to, ha. I think the topper was when she reached behind her and handed me a wadded up shower curtain, and said, "Oh, sorry."

The building was old but well taken care of and huge. It was a nice room, and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. I cooked in the room. The refrigerator was a good with a spacious separate spacious freezer. The staff was wonderful. I wanted to check-in early and they let me bring my stuff to my room at 9:00am so I could visit Carlsbad Caverns without a full car. I also asked what the most popular things were to do in and around Carlsbad, and they looked for handouts to give to me including a map of the area. They were super sweet. In fact, it was probably the nicest staff I have ever come across at a hotel!

The office is very run down, check in took forever, hair was present in the shower, which was not ours, the sink did not drain in our room at all, had to brush our teeth in the tub, booked a king room, got 2 queen beds instead, continental breakfast was terrible, muffins and juice from a jug that had to be poured into a cup, not individual ones, terrible pillows, flimsy sheets and blanket on bed, just not a great experience at all.
