"Hate to leave low reviews but also gotta keep it real. This hotel is looooong due for renovations and upgrades. It feels basic and looks old....Definitely not keeping up with the times/ all the newer hotels that are popping up. The furniture is old, the carpet is dark, old and ripping in some places. The bed skirts were not the rt size...dragging the floor, stain on the duvet, water pressure in the shower meh. The TV was nice size but limited channels and did not offer "smart" options to hook to apps. Not sure if it was my charger or the outlets but charging phones and devices were a struggle. The positive- the staff were friendly/good customer service. Location near shopping with several food options. The bed/mattress was loud but we slept well. Bottom line, I would not stay there again. Especially when there are options."

"The stay was just ok. The headboard was greasy and nasty, floor half vacuum, and the padding under the sheets were bunch up under the fitted sheet. We seen a bug flying on the curtains. I was told at the desk checking in that I would get a receipt at check out. When I checking out I was old if you use a 3rd party they mail the receipt. I use 3rd party often and still receive a printed out receipt."

"We had a lovely stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Smyrna. The only issue we had was with the pool. One of the reasons we stayed at the property was to give our grand-kids a place to swim in the evenings, however the hot tub was being repaired and the pool water was too cold for little ones to swim in. Staff indicated the water temp was due to work being done on the Hot tub."
