"Nice location and off the beaten path. An easy 15 minute drive to most things we wanted to see; zoo, central Nagano, Nagano station. Easy parking, nice relaxing hot bath on balcony. It was an older Ryoken but maintained and Friendly staff. "

"Not worth it. Way over priced! We stayed one night. Staff are very nice. But the place is of a by gone era. It’s old but not in a charming way. Showers in the onsen are cold and you have to wait for many minutes in order for hot water to come out. The rooms and elevators are old. the outdoor hotspring is on the top floor with no facilities (you have to go downstairs first and shower) and no real view to speak of. The location is on the main drag which is nice. But it should be 1/2 the...

"Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. Really enjoyed staying here and it made it incredibly easy to walk to and from the train station to get bus tickets. Would definitely tell friends to stay here in the future. "

"Conveniently located by Nagano Station. A lot of restaurants nearby. Storage lockers available before check in and after check out. They offer a free donut on check in. Prepaid breakfast had a good selection. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 6th floor overlooking the street. You pick your own amenities downstairs. "
