Disliked: Room comfort
Very small room and not much help from staff
It was ok hotel. Not very friendly staff and they took more than fifteen minutes to check in even with a reservation. Two people gave us queen bed, it seems much smaller than that for two people. Not very exciting place to be, but the breakfast was ok.
Nice hotel close to the Everbright Convention Hall
Favorite hotel to stay at when attending a convention at the Everbright Convention Center. It is actually closer than the hotel attached to the center itself.
This hotel had fairly nice rooms, but the location was a bit far from everything (airports, city center). Also, the staff did not speak English (we relied on calling people and using Google Translate), and the room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room.

Excellent stay for a very reasonable fee
The hotel was advertised as 4 star. It doesn't have any of those additional facilities expected of a 4 star hotel.
But, for the fee paid the room was quite large, comfortable and convenient. I enjoyed my stay there.
The limitation was the inability of most of the staff to communicate in English. But they tried their best..
Room was excellent, clean and convenient. I will certainly recommend this for other friends and I will stay there in future as well..
I stayed there for three nights, first two nights were quite ok except a little noisy outside. However, I came back in middle of the third night, the room was not clean up, the front desk was only giving me different excuses without any compensation!

Good for Hongqiao Airport and City
Located not too far from the airport and train station leading to points west in China. About a $10 cab ride. Not too far from main sites downtown if going by cab - about $8. Room was pleasant and clean - staff does not necessarily speak English - this made check out unnecessarily complicated.
De kamer is prima , ruim en net
Alleen het hotel ligt een beetje uit het centrum , en ook voor mezelf was de ligging niet ideaal .
Dus als je daar in de buurt moet zijn is het hotel aan te raden .
Large room and comfortable bed. Could be a little noisy if you are staying near the street side as cars tend to honk frequently. Not much of selection in terms of breakfast, mostly Chinese food with some salad, fruits and toast. There is no stand for the showerhead, which means you would have to wash with one had occupied, holding the shower.

Exterior Mediocre, Interior Not Bad
I was a little disappointed by the exterior of the hotel and the meager lobby. However, the rooms, while not very large were comfortable. Beds in hotels in China are usually rock hard. And I cannot sleep on them. This hotel's beds were an exception. Comfortable. Room had cable TV with BBC. That's a plus. Also free wifi. Bathroom was clean and nice.

Perfect Getaway
This place was perfect for a weekend in Shanghai. The beds were wonderful, the amenities were great, the staff was very helpful.
Nice room, very well equipped, very reasonable price, metro station at 15 minutes walk, however, difficult to obtain information as staff speaks only very limited English but considering price with a modest breakfast included and the very nice room I would definitely recommend the hotel
Yun’s Paradise Boutique Hotel has become my favorite hotel in Shanghai. They make up for their small size with friendly and helpful service! The location of the hotel is very conveniently located near Everbright Convention Center. The rooms are neat and comfortable.
I am a frequent traveler to China. As a salesman, I spend much of my time on the road, often staying in remote industrial locations, in marginal hotels. I am not a complainer by nature. I am inclined to laugh about the more dreadful hotel experiences I’ve had. I expected more from Yun’s Paradise WALTZ Boutique Hotel, and they failed sufficiently to warrant a review.
Yun's Paradise WALTZ Boutique Hotel would have been the perfect location for me to stay. It is approximately 100 meters from the office where I needed to be working most of the time in Shanghai. However, I returned one night from Wuhan, after an 18 hour work day, to learn that I would have to check out at dawn the next day. The hotel decided to do some repairs on the hotel, and unceremoniously kicked out all of the guests without any notice in advance. I had to cancel an important business meeting scheduled for the next morning, pack all of my belongings, and move to Yun’s main hotel on the other side of the city. Instead of being a 3 minute walk from work, I was an hour-long taxi ride through traffic each way.
If you plan on staying at Yun’s Paradise WALTZ Boutique Hotel, and are fortunate enough not to be randomly thrown out of your room, here are a few points of information that might be useful:
Pros:
- The hotel is located near the Everbright Convention Center. If you are attending an event held in the Everbright, the location is perfect.
- The hotel front desk is small, but fairly efficient.
- There is a convenience store very near the hotel.
- There are some pretty good restaurants near by.
- It’s fairly easy to catch a taxi on Cao Bao Road.
- Hotel breakfast is not bad in terms of Chinese hotel breakfasts.
- Internet connection is good, and easy to connect to.
Cons:
- All rooms in Yun’s hotels have glass walls in the restrooms. That is to say, if you happen to be staying with others in your room, or have visitors, anything you do in the bathroom will become a group project.
- Getting your laundry returned in a timely manner may become a concern.
- Expect to be regularly annoyed by phone calls from the hotel, asking if you have laundry or if your room is clean, etc.
- Don’t be surprised if you are awoken from your nap in the middle of the day by the hotel staff, doing a random check of your room. (Or standing stark naked, reaching for your underwear, as your hotel door opens for said room check, as was I!)
- Usually, refrigerators are cold inside. Yun’s hotel room refrigerators are not.
- What would possess a hotel’s management to think that service staff radios blaring night and day in the hallways would not annoy guests?
