Extremely Disappointed – Not What We Expected from a Former Favorite
We used to stay at Pan Pacific Seattle years ago and always loved it, so we were excited to return—only to discover it has changed to “Denny Park Hotel” and is now under renovation. There was no mention of this construction on Expedia or the hotel’s website, which was extremely misleading.
The entrance and lobby looked like an active construction site. While the room appeared newly renovated, it didn’t match the photos shown on Expedia. At night, the room was very cold, and the heater didn’t work. We requested an extra blanket and received one that was very thin. After multiple calls and a long wait, we received a second thin blanket. Still freezing. I had to stay up from 3 AM to make sure my wife and son were covered and warm.
On top of that, the room was very noisy—you could hear every sound from the street, and the windows didn’t seem to be soundproof or even accessible.
We ended up checking out early the next morning and booking a room at another hotel. While I understand the hotel declined our refund request for the night we stayed, what shocked me is that no one ever apologized or reached out. Clearly, guest comfort is no longer a priority here.
I’m sharing this review so others can avoid our experience. At the very least, be transparent about renovations and fix your heating system.
