"The location was about 800m from the main eating drinking and entertainment area along thecriver bank. Close to the funicular railway and the river boats. Hotel breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The bar served a selection of sandwiches and pizzas and the barman was very accommodating when we wanted to watch a particular football match. Thank you for a super stay."

"Torel 1884 is located perfectly to explore all of historic Porto. Within short walks of main sites, close to river for accessing the south side of Douro. Many lovely restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. Hotel itself is lovely. We stayed in the apartments and benefited from having a sitting room as well. Very comfortable and well equipped. Hotel staff are all friendly, welcoming and warm. We enjoyed the breakfasts too, good choice and excellent service. Highly recommend."

"Great location, most tourists places within a 10 minute walk in all directions. Disappointed with the breakfast room, very small and not enough tables when busy. On the first day the breakfast was also available on a 2nd floor however this was then closed for the remaining part of our stay meaning we had to wait for a table to become free, member of staff said this was normal when it was busy but doesn’t really help when you want breakfast. Room check in is 3pm, on arrival we were told they would send a message when the room was ready however we didn’t receive a message. "
