This is a magnificently renovated / rebuilt property. Absolutely outstanding from the decor to the fittings and ammenities to the amazing indoor / outdoor pool. The designers did a wonderful job.
Unfortunately there are problems though. While the reception staff are great, very helpful, courteous and very welcoming , some other staff are pretty ordinary. People probably won't read this review because it is an outlier. But we had some really disappointing interactions.
1: at the pool we waited about 15 to 20 minutes for our drinks which were really poor.
2: Breakfast was painful. The reception lady was pleasant, courteous and professional. But the wait staff were very amateurish and very poorly trained (if in fact they were ever trained at all!) It took ages to receive our tea and coffee.. and the teapot was full of .. you guessed it.. hot water!!! No tea..The coffee had been left on the bar for ages ( we observed it) and so it arrived tepid. We ordered from the menu egg dishes and they were tiny and uninspiring , again not as described.
All in all, this would have to have been one of our very greatest holiday disappointments. So much effort has gone into designing and building this hotel but they forgot to train the staff effectively. I hope for the owners sake they can fix it soon. It should be a 10 from 10 but afraid not for us this time..
