「Have biked for a day, nothing better than a cup of tea and a hot shower. There was no kettle until one was produced after an hour and the shower remained cold during all our stay! We also looked forward to a nice evening meal but owing to a large golfing party present it apparently was impossible to find a table for 2 and the nearest hotel / restaurant was closed due to a function. This necessitated a long walk to find an evening meal!」

「Although the suite itself was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable, unfortunately our stay was overshadowed by several issues. The lights in the room didn’t work properly, which was frustrating from the start. The door to the suite constantly rattled whenever the downstairs door opened and shut, and because of the lack of soundproofing you could hear every conversation from below. 「We had a lovely stay. The Queens room, with the tub was great after a day of sightseeing. The food was great and the staff was very friendly with suggestions and just great to chat with. Would stay there again.」

「Check-in was fine. There was a wedding on (on a Monday) and was left with a feeling you’d crashed someone’s party. Staff were obviously busy with this wedding so not so attentive to other guests. Main gripe was the additional £25 charge on the room for having our dog with us which wasn’t mentioned in any of the booking material. It’s good to be ‘pet friendly’ but also please be transparent about the charges.」
