「First off, we weren’t in the main hotel building, so I can’t comment on that other than it looked ok from reception. We were in the row of rooms to the right of of the main entrance, along the main road. A surprisingly noisy main road. The room was spacious, but stank of wet dog. 「We received such a warm welcome at The Boars Head. It felt like everything in the room was really high spec. Loved that we had a stocked fridge (you had to pay for most items, though!) with free milk and a free dram each, too! A espresso machine with good choice of coffees and tea bags. 「The room was clean but the shower did not work very well. The breakfasts were good but not impressed by the bar and restaurant. Food was cold and less than average quality, staff were too busy doing stuff to be able to focus on the customers. The wi-fi was non-existent not helped by poor mobile signal. Not good value for money so not likely to stay again.」
