Golden Host Resort - Sarasota

Golden Host Resort - Sarasota

8/10 Good
"Everything else about my stay at the hotel was completely OK. The room and service were fine, but I am very unhappy with their unfair billing policy. At check-in, the front desk told me they were going to fully charge my card $150 instead of doing a standard temporary hold. Taking the money completely out of my account instead of just putting a pending hold on it is a terrible system. It ties up funds unnecessarily. While the rest of the stay was fine, this financial policy is very inconvenient. The hotel needs to use normal authorization holds like almost every other hotel does. Thanks"

"The room slept 6 we were 3 and the room was set up for 2!! No one came in with clean towels or made up the room...we were there 4 days...we found some towels on a cart and got the third set. The trash can was toooo small. The mattress pads were in shreds and should be replaced!! As that really looks tacky. The staff was delightful... since the hotel is under renovation it's hard to keep things neat and the staff only had a tiny table to check people in that was very difficult for them to work. And they did it with a smile."
