"When I booked I mistakenly thought we would be in the building by the tower, we were not. It felt like a long walk to the building we were in, it was probably only 10 minutes though. The staff who checked us in was very helpful dragging our luggage down the street. I wish we would have been in the main building next to the tower."

"Superb location - right next to the entrance to the Pisa Cathedral and Bell Tower. We were an overnight stay, saw everything because of the location. Bed was a king, room air conditioned, staff were flexible with holding bags while we looked around. Place is old, but reasonable price. Location cannot be beaten."

"I really enjoyed Velle Storiche Pisa - fairly simple room, but spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Fantastic location in a nice residential district, very close to a railway station and the Campo dei Miracoli. After-hours check in process sounded a little complicated but worked perfectly. The included breakfast was good by Italian standards. Only drawback was that the air conditioning was limited to 18 degrees, which is too hot. Best thing was the enthusiastic and welcoming staff."

"The unit was small but ideal for the 3 of us. Very clean, good storage space, clean bathroom and reasonably equipped kitchen, with fridge, sink and hob. The air con worked, but we found it a bit temperamental at times, turning it on and off (possibly just weak batteries). The location of this campsite is brilliant, about 10 mins walk to the tower, but be aware it is along a busy loud road and underpass. Not a problem at all, just not the prettiest of walks! The pool is a decent size and we always found sunbeds, but sometimes not in the sun. It is a rule that you wear swim hats, and the lifeguards ensure the rule is followed. If you haven't brought your own you can buy at the shop. There is a bar/cafe next to the pool, for drinks, ice cream and snacks. We found the barman was a bit abrupt and rude to many of the guests. But all other staff were friendly and helpful. There is also a restaurant on site, but we didn't eat here. The shop also sells many essentials if you want to make your own food. It's a quiet site, although some nights they have something on by the pool (magician for wg). We would definitely stay here again if we wanted somewhere in Pisa, with a pool, for a great price"
