"This hotel feels like family (and we do stay there when visiting Fresno family!) The staff service is always warm and excellent and the price and location are just right. Wishes: the pool opened earlier in the AM (we head off for our day before/by 10, so always miss having a swim); and the whole place REALLY needs a renovation lift. Dingey looking and shabby, looks "risky" though I know it's clean. Pillows bad. AC light beams throughout the night (glad i had sticky notes to cover it in my briefcase!) Oh, and washable utensils for breakfast bar would be nice in this day and age, hate to see the waste in the trash. I think a soaking bucket for sorting silverware would be perfectly acceptable for your clientele. THANKS!"

"Bed was comfortable and the towels were soft. Three stars though because the paper coffee cups had a bunch of filth inside it that made it unsuitable to make coffee with. The room also had a really bad odor to the bedding and the carpet. It was almost like a wet dog smell combined with wet garnets that stayed in the washer for far too long and started to mold instead of going into the dryer immediately. Highly recommend carpet cleaner."

"Very poor shower pressure, very old carpets in the rooms, very poor sad pillows. Nice people, nice staff, hotel needs a full remodel. Fun by the pool and allowed to have a beverage by the pool. Good breakfast. Two to four hot items plus waffles and bread stuff. Very bad coffee and very bad coffee machines. It's okay for the money. No more than $120 a night ever.."

"Staff was not helpful or professional with reservation having two names for two rooms. They tried to sell us a second room with a higher rate than Expedia. They did not help problem solve or clarify. "

"Was very pleased with my stay. Staff was very helpful and nice. Rooms were clean and well stocked. The pool was big and very well maintained. The only disappointment was told there was a free breakfast but that stopped a few months ago. I would definitely recommend and stay at the hourglass again"
