"This hotel is on the water and has excellent proximity to all of the downtown area without being in all the downtown traffic. It’s an easy walk to any of the downtown restaurants and shops AND has easy parking. Breakfast was included, the pool was really nice, and so was the staff."

Bask Hotel at Big Rock Landing

"This place is a must stay! The room was facing the harbor and it was relaxing to sit on the balcony watching the boats come and go! Loved the way the room was set up with the queen beds separated by the little kitchen area and bathroom. The staff at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! The bask is located within walking distance of plenty of things to do from shopping, restaurants and enjoying a walk by the water, excellent location! I will be staying here again the next time going to Morehead City and will be recommending the bask!"

Magnolia House Bed & Breakfast

"If you plan to visit Oriental, you must stay at Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast! The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. They greeted me as I arrived and took me on a tour of the house explaining the available amenities. The house has a wrap around porch, perfect for relaxing in the evening (I stayed in August and was surprised by the mild evening temperature). I had to leave early morning and typically do not eat breakfast so they had breakfast bars and fruit available for me to grab and go. They also have a coffee and tea bar available 24/7 with snacks, wine, and beer. The entire house was beautifully decorated and the beds were so comfortable that once my head hit the pillow, I didn’t wake up until my alarm went off. I stayed in the Roe Suite and web pictures do not do it justice. It’s a large suite with two entrances, one leading directly to the room that has the drinks and snacks (very convenient). The sitting area has a large comfortable couch, tv, and bookshelves filled with books. The bath, with tiled floors, full-length mirror, large double sink counter space, separate shower and large tub, is as large as the bedroom! And I have to mention the location, right in the middle of town, walking distance to the waterfront, shops, and restaurants, and a short distance to the grocery store. The innkeepers have thought of everything including a welcome gift with chocolates and a package of Magnolia House coffee. I will definitely return."
