"We enjoyed our stay at the Fern Grotto Inn. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed."

"Our reservation was actually cancelled the night before we were due to arrive due to "maintenance issues." Thank goodness I had booked through Hotels.com and they did a great job finding a replacement but I was literally sitting on the airplane getting ready to take off when a replacement was found. We have stayed at this resort in the past so took a chance with an individual owner but won't do that again. Thank you to Hotels.com for saving our vacation!"

"Accessible to north, east (near family) and south of island, family friendly beach, and grocery stores. A/c is only in extra den with sofa bed so main room had ceiling fan but less circulation, and with windows open, you hear more louder neighbors stomping up/down stairs & loud voices in the middle of night. A/c wasn't needed in den since near patio doors; wished a/c was in main room for temperature and outside noise control. Traffic noise wasn't too bad despite having closest room to street....

"The rooms were clean but the property is run down in a few areas. Customer service was good but one of the ladies at check didn’t appear to like her job. I don’t have her name but she was the middle aged blond lady. Everyone else was wonderful. "

"Nothing can beat the location — right on the beach, where you can hear the ocean from your room! The property has beautiful grounds and a very comfortable bed. It’s not really set up for cooking, though there is a microwave, mini fridge, and some tableware provided. A few items looked like they hadn’t been used or washed in a while. The staff was wonderful, and overall, I would definitely stay here again!"

"Absolutely amazing. I could not recommend this place enough. My husband and I have stayed at several resorts, even all inclusive resorts, and this place exceeded our expectations. Quiet, safe, walkable to a lot of shops. ABC store right across the street. Lots of good & coffee places within walkable distance. Resort also has their own coffee daily and a 24/7 gift shop for smaller items. Beach you can swim at if you walk one minute on the walking path. Staff was excellent and helpful for all of our requests. Pool bar closes early, but it’s Kauai everything closed early. Central to both sides of the island so it’s about 40 minutes to popular destinations on both sides of island. Rooms are very spacious, and highly recommend booking one with the kitchen. Staff kept the grounds very clean. "
