"With small kids, and for the price, this place was perfect for our needs! Pros:Location. The Beach access, pet friendly aspect and the pool for the price was the reason we stayed. AC cold and efficient. Arrived in a Tahoe and Parking wasn’t as problematic as I assumed due to other reviews, maybe I just got lucky. Clean towels arrived daily at our door step! Cons: damage to room(some walls were warped due to heavy rains I assume, and the bathroom door was shredding at the bottom). I understand it’s the beach and maintaining certain conditions can be tough. It didn’t bother us any, cause we are more of the beach bum type, then the luxury type. The one thing that did catch me off guard was the smell of strong cleaning products. I’m sensitive to that type of thing, and everything I owned smelled of cascade like chemicals and had to be washed upon returning home. Suggestions: if sensitive to sand, bring extra sheets, pillowcases and blanket if doable. Theirs were clean, but with kids, and a dog it was difficult to keep them feeling sand free. It would’ve been easier to just be able to change them out daily. Bring extra towels or socks if possible. I had a path lined on the floor with towels to walk on because all the sand on the floor felt icky on my feet, however I was extremely grateful the room was not carpeted! For dog owners: the only Grass spot to potty was a public beach access parking next door that provided bags. Overall amazing stay, memories were made!"

"This is a well maintained, older hotel, located on the beach road. It is not plush but it is very comfortable. Our stay included 2 double beds, located on the third floor. We had views of the ocean and the sound. The price point and location made this perfect for our mini vacay. Sam and Ommies resturant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner was right next door. Jeanettes Pier/beach was across the road. 3 min walk. I would stay here again!"
