"Parking was easy and convenient but overall the hotel is just okay. The carpet in the hallways is worn and torn giving it a rundown look. The pool is nice and there is a steam room and a sauna. The room is okay, clean. Same, a little run down. It is reasonably priced and there is a convenient bus stop. "

"The reception and front desk staff were consistently kind and helpful. The location is excellent - very convenient for getting around, with plenty of things to see and do just minutes away. As a solo female traveler, I did find that there wasn’t much within comfortable walking distance of the hotel after about 9 p.m. The hotel does have a cute bar that stays open until around 11, but it felt fairly quiet and not very lively when I was there alone. My only real issue was with the elevators. One was completely out of service during my stay, and the other was not always reliable. Being on the fifth floor, this meant having to use the stairs multiple times, which was quite inconvenient."

"I’m not one for ranty reviews but this place was truly awful. We had to leave and stay elsewhere, after the owner was rude and aggressive. It was not at all as advertised. This place feels more like a boarding house than a bed and breakfast. No onsite parking as advertised, closest street parking was down a dodgy side street next to a council estate about 150m away and did not feel at all safe. The bedrooms were not as advertised and not what we booked. No en-suite bathroom - it was a shared bathroom on the main landing and twin beds rather than a double with bed covers that looked like they were from a charity shop. When we arrived the owner was not on site. Other guests let us in. We had to call multiple times before the owner came onsite. When we complained he became rude and aggressive at which point we left and staid in a premier inn instead. "

"Quiet location, bus stop is just outside the Pollock Halls grounds. Walking distance to the city. It is an old building, very charming and well maintained. However, there is no lift , staircases are narrow , getting help to bring luggage up can be a bit of of a wait. Overall, always a lovely stay."

"Hi! I came too early for check inreturned after sightseeing and was sent to a room twist and turns which took a long time to go on the 7 th floor ! I had to take like 10 minutes just to wait for elevator and go to the room The bathroom was like it was ready to crumble flimsy attachment very noisy and unstable walk! The shower hose fell many times loudly as I slept ! The bed had a piece under sheet ridiculous mattress protector which felt like anincontinent pad for the handicapped or a nursing home patient! The toilet makes a lot of noise and air conditioning too! Very uncomfortable ! As I return at night the male staff look like I am trespassing! I got to show the key! They did not greet me cheerily and say how can I help you? The food in the breakfast I was not keen on ! I barely filled my stomach! I had to go out searching to get a better breakfast after I paid for the hotel breakfastI will not stay with this company hotel again and pictures was misleading on the website! "
