"We had a lovely stay here. So Christmassy but even other times of year so cosy felt homely. Reception was very welcoming room was decorated lovely and really felt like a retreat away from it all. Fires and Christmas trees . We ate in the restaurant and all the food was hot and delicious. Location was very central for village visits and walks it was tough to choose whether to go out for walks or just stay in the hotel and relax. We are already planning our next trip back"

"Absolutely loved this place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and wanted. The position of High Corner is fantastic and that’s not really doing it justice! The staff, all of them, were polite, welcoming, helpful and a credit to the pub. The rooms we had were lovely although one was a little small due to being upstairs, however this did not detract from my stay as I had it all to myself! Food, especially breakfast was very good.
