"Stayed 3 nights at the beginning of a heatwave, no air-con. Portable fans were provided but they do just move the hot air around. Minimal clothes hanging space. Having said that the rooms are comfortable and clean, excellent shower, spacious bathroom. The dining room is amazing. Fabulous location. Staff really friendly and helpful."

"A really lovely stay at the Derby Arms. The room was fantastic – modern, comfortable and very well equipped, with all the amenities you could want. "We arrived and there is no reception There seemed to be some sort of event on so we walked around for five minutes until we were told you sit in a sofa and wait for the manager to check you in. Check in took approx 10 mins due to the manager dealing with some unhappy guests. Not hit fault but odd no reception for such a big place The room was small but lovely, there was no shower gel though so worth taking some. "From start to finish our stay was excellent. This is a historic building with loads of charm. We were lucky to get an upgraded room which was fabulous. The bar, outside and dining room areas were excellent and we will definitely return."
