"This is annokd hotel maintained beautifully. The staff was very helpful. Taking the time to find me a room near the elevator which i really appreciated. I woukd not however recommend eating at thur restaurant, called the bank . I waited iver an hour, with noone advising me of the wait- and then the pork belly was dry and stringy- some parts inedible. To their credit tho they did not charge me for the meal. Its in the old part of town which also was nice."
"My daughter and I just stayed one night as we were in Barnstaple to see a show.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, noteably providing us with a fan for our room as we were amidst a heatwave.!
The breakfast was delicious too - thank you for a lovely mini-break :-) Helen and Claire"
"No instructions in the room on how to operate anything.
Shower: insufficient grab handles for old fogies to safely get out. A non slip mat was available from reception. This information was on the very back of the shower. Found by chance.
No information on how to switch the electric towel rail off."
"Welcome was great with a cup of tea. Very friendly. Beautiful quiet, rural farm setting. Pet friendly.
Totally suited our needs with easy access to Barnstaple, Instow, RHS Rosemoor."
"I only had a 3 night stay at Thistledene, but could have stayed longer.
I am a solo traveler staying in Braunton, visiting relatives who live in
Wrafton. I can stay with them but they have children and a dog, so it's
quite pleasant to get away and have a bit of peace in the late evening.
Thistledene, The Copper Room was so clean and ideal, it has a little outside space to
sit and enjoy a drink, one of the many amenities on offer for an over-night stay.
A toaster, milk, coffee and tea and all utensils are provided as well as TV and
a lovely shower room, not forgetting a large comfortable bed.
I will definitely stay again!
Heather, From Stratford upon Avon."
