"Our oldest daughter is a student at North Carolina Central University, so we stay here anytime we are visiting Durham from NY. The hotel is in a great location and very safe area. Close to the highway but very quiet. There is a gas station across the street which is convenient. The hotel is very quiet but also family friendly. There is also free parking available The rooms are always very clean and the beds are so comfortable. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast offered is very good. The pool is great for a quick swim in the summer. "

"Delightful environment, great staff, great cookies. HOWEVER, the smell of pot permeated the 4th floor and elevator. In a property that makes clear it’s no smoking policy, I would have thought that included pot. Our room smelled gross. "

"we got there in the late evening and had difficulty checking in ( nobody at front desk, nobody answering the phone, eventually somebody came). The shower was almost impossible to figure out how to use. When the staff was around they were helpful."
