The property was nice and the room was clean and well apponted. However, we booked it because of the indoor pool and hot tub and found out at check in that the hot tub wasn't working. We also woke the day of checkout to a hot water outage in the entire hotel so we were unable to shower. The person at the front desk was very apologetic about both and said we would be rewarded points but that, unfortunately, doesn't change the experience. Another minor thing, but annoying nontheless, was the bedding. It wasn't large enough for the bed so we were constantly pulling it to one side or the other. Otherwise, the hotel was in a convenient location and was generally well kept. I would stay here again if the items noted were corrected.

Smooth Check-In, Great Stay

After a terrible experience at my previous hotel, checking in to the Marriott Durham City Center was a huge relief. The evening front desk staff was incredibly kind, fast, and efficient he made the second part of my trip completely stress-free. Clean rooms, great amenities, and friendly staff all around. Highly recommend!

This is a very nice Marriott Hotel. Quiet, clean, short drive to downtown Chapel Hill and UNC Hospital and University. Harris Teeter grocery store and other shopping within 5 min. The staff is friendly and efficient. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe in the area of this hotel and enjoyed my stay very much.
