COVID-19 has transformed how the world works in ways big and small, including how and where we travel. These tips will help you navigate the new challenges and prepare you for your escape to Prudence Island:

• Research what, if any, restrictions or rules apply to both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so check in advance.
• Requirements state that you must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at screening checkpoints. Be ready to adjust your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA officer.
• You're no longer required to hand your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA employee. Rather, you should position the pass on the reader and then hold it up for the agent to visually inspect it.
• One container of liquid hand sanitizer is now allowed in your carry-on luggage. It must be no larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to take it out of your bag for X-ray scanning.
• Empty your personal items from your pocket, such as your wallet, keys and phone, and place them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will minimize handling during screening.
• If you're taking food on the plane, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to handle your food container or carry-on bag for closer inspection.
