"This was the second time for me to stay at this hotel. Last time, I stayed alone and this time, I brought my entire family. The rooms were spacious, nice and clean. The air conditioning worked very well. A microwave and a fridge were great to have in each room. This time, we had a continental breakfast and really enjoyed it. There were plenty of choices (especially I was excited to have boiled eggs), including multiple flavors of yogurt, nice and warm biscuits, soup, a waffle maker, cereals, bread, bagels, muffins, juices, and coffee (regular and decaf). It was one of the best continental breakfasts we've ever had. There is plenty of space in the parking lot. The location is convenient for travelers (within a minute from I-80 West from the Portage exit). Nice and quiet location. I travel a lot, but I've never had such a great experience at such an affordable price other than this hotel. Our kids said it was the best hotel for them, and I agree. I highly recommend Quality Inn & Suites Portage Central."

"No outdoor outlets for evs and the neighborhood isn’t great, but we didn’t have any issues otherwise. $75 pet fee in addition to $125 deposit was exorbitant! Even worse was the fact that the fee wasn’t mentioned until check-in and even then wasn’t detailed anywhere in writing, so they could pretty much charge whatever they wanted, which is shady as hell. The pool was small but clean, the room and beds were clean, and the breakfast was excellent."

"Although it definitely is showing its age and could use an update, we were satisfied with our stay. It's a good location for hiking and close to several good food places (within 15 minutes). The air conditioning was nice and cool and the beds were decent. All my interactions with staff were pleasant and they helped whenever possible. I wish the breakfast area had a bit more room for people getting food, waiting, and then seating because everything was super close together, but not impossible to work around."
