"Normally, I would make a TikTok video to expose this location to my HUGE Michigan audience online and I still may do it… I booked a room at this hotel for today. And when I arrived, I was horrified. The smell was so overpowering that my 10-year-old daughter immediately said she felt nauseous in the lobby. Not to mention, the pictures are highly inaccurate and do not reflect what the property actually looks like. The 3rd floor hallway smelled like smoke. Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk took her sweet time assisting the guest ahead of me and never once acknowledged me before walking off with them. Let’s start there—the customer service was already unacceptable. I then took it upon myself to contact the third-party service, Hotels.com, to request a cancellation. They reached out to the hotel on my behalf, yet the girl at the front desk refused to cancel the reservation. I worked in hotels for 5 to 6 years, and never once did we refuse to refund a guest who arrived and still CHOSE not to stay. Not only did the front desk girl refuse to issue a refund, but her demeanor was overtly hostile. She went as far as accusing me of lying to Hotels.com. Anyone with even the most fundamental training in customer service understands that you do not escalate a situation by adding fuel to the fire. It was clear she lacked the ability to de-escalate appropriately and instead chose to provoke an argument. Please believe ALL of the negative reviews by so many unhappy guest below. "

"This place looks NOTHING like the pictures. I had booked my husband and I the King size bed and the second you walk into the door we got hit with the smell of cigarettes. The curtains don’t close all the way or stay closed, the front door looked like it had been kicked in before, wholes in the walls, the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a month at least, the bed sheets had cigarette burns and random hair on them, and the bed was about to collapse. We then went down to try and get a new room and the person at the desk was annoyed and didn’t want to give us a new room at first. My husband talked to him and he moved us to a different room. It smelled slightly better, the bed felt like a cardboard box, the TV remote didn’t work, but we decided it was the best option for our 1 night stay. We ended us sleeping fully closed on top of the blankets covering our pillows with clothes and left at 4:30am because we just couldn’t sleep. "

"The staff was great Bri was absolutely amazing she even made sure my late check out was in order the room was very clean no complaints at all, morning staff was very friendly even the breakfast attendants, breakfast was ok didn’t have too many condiments like salt/pepper, eggs were a little watery but overall it was ok most definitely will be returning to this location just as great as the Brighton location and close to shopping centers, restaurants etc.. Loved It!"
